Shelly’s is a small place and very much a local and reliable place for people living in the nearby community of Rockport Texas. The food is delicious and service is quick. Prices are reasonable for a coastal community restaurant and the patrons we encountered were friendly and generous if you want to interact.
We had the Mushroom Burger that was cooked to perfection! The blackened Mahi was fire with the seasoned veggies and i forgot to take a pic of my shrimp and the new boudin, crab and gator balls. Kwinn our server was very attentive and the owner Mike was super friendly and made us feel like family. I will definitely be back! And GREAT PRICES!
Server was the best! She was amazing with the kids and was attentive to our table. Food was fresh and everything was delicious! We love the salad bar and how we got one free plate. To top it off, the duck game was awesome! Had we known from the beginning, my son would have searched for it the whole time. A friend I knew was there and told us about it when we left and they actually had found one! It was a cute lil toy...my son loved it! Plates were also priced well. We will definitely be back!
Let me start by saying the Redfish was excellent. That said, the rest of the meal consisted of overcooked squash. 3 of us got the Redfish at $28 per person. The salad bar, which came with our meal had nothing on it. Literally, the dishes were all empty. Same with the soup. On top of the salad bar there was a container that said 'forks'. There was nothing in it. While the fish was very good, $28 is an awfully expensive meal considering it's only a piece of fish. One of our guests ordered a hamburger. She got the last bun and the last order of fries. This was on a Saturday at 6pm and they close at 8. Very disappointing.
Really enjoyed our meal. If the rest of the food is half as good as those big ol burgers were ...its gotta be great. I came hungry and that double patty was exactly what I needed 😁 😴 💤
OK this food was next level and so good. Fish was fresh, calamari was amazing, and the burgers were huge. Don't sleep on this place. I had to add a 2nd picture so you could see just hyge the homemade meat patties are.
Cute little place in town by the thrift store. Family run and family friendly. Small on the inside but filled to the brim with eclectic Halloween decorations (visited 10/11). Sweet tea was good, service was good. Husband and I both ordered different types of fried seafood and it was so good! Popcorn shrimp po’boy was delicious, sweet potato fries were great, and the fried catfish was the best I’ve had in a long time. Definitely recommend visiting!
My husband insisted we go here and I am glad we did. The owners were by the most welcoming I have ever felt at a restaurant. The shrimp was the best I have ever had in Texas. My son decided to take upon their challenge for the triple meat burger and lets he didn’t eat until the next afternoon. This place is an absolute must
